Raise more than a sail, and raise a patient’s spirit!

Cora, age 2, really had the wind knocked out of her sails when she was diagnosed with leukemia. But her family knowing that each year thousands of supporters are setting sail in honor of patients like her, helps raise her spirits.

Each sailor in the National Leukemia Cup Regatta series is eligible to win prizes including the opportunity to sail in San Francisco with world-renowned sailor and ESPN commentator Gary Jobson, national Regatta chairman, from October 16-18, 2009.

The Leukemia Cup Regatta is a great way for sailing enthusiasts to do what they love while also helping the more than 894,000 people suffering from blood cancers who need our help.

The St. Joseph's/Candler Leukemia Cup Regatta is more than boats and crew racing. In Savannah, it is a community coming together through a Weekend of Events to help fight leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood cancers. The Weekend will begin as we tee off at The Savannah Golf Club for the Leukemia Cup Golf Classic. The Spirit of the Sea Black Tie Dinner and Auction will be Friday Evening. Saturday we will set sail, fish, and play tennis all at Savannah Yacht Club, finishing Saturday night with the Luau for Leukemia. Events will conclude Sunday. For 2009, planning has begun for a Weekend Expansion to include a Half Rubber Tournament, etc!
